magic hat
The Magic Hat is passed at mealtimes and around camp. Donations are used to buy food in bulk for the kitchens and whatever else may be necessary for the communal well-being (tents,lime for the latrines (shit pit), first aid centers and supplies, etc.).

clean up
Clean Up actually begins the moment you arrive - if you don't disturb the environment to begin with, you don't have to clean it up later. If you pick up trash all along, there isn't a large amount at the end.

After cleanup, we begin our traditional meditation retreat including hours of solo practice, and days when we break camp and spend hours in silence. We'll be encouraged to look around while hiking and take delight in what we see.
